The Geese Friends and the friendship festival

Picture

L
ong ago, in a large park in London, there were three beautiful Geese, who gathered every afternoon at 4 p.m for their afternoon tea! They were all very good friends. Mrs. Oket, Squazzy, and Okalinda.

They were always very cheerful. Each one had it’s own personality. For example: Mrs.Oket loved to laugh and joke. Having suffered a lot when she was younger, now she just wanted to be happy and to make the people around her happy. Squazzy loved to read and listen to people, and every once in awhile she gave out sound advice to her friends. Okalinda was the most beautiful Goose in the park, she loved fashion and often gave advice to her friends on how to improve their appearance.

You should hear their discussions – “Quack, Quack, Quack” they continuously said, it was so wonderful to hear and see them. Every day at their meetings, the three friends dressed up , in their best hats. Great , Great ! Just like the days of the proper Lords. One day while passing through the park an impertinent wind, became very jealous and annoyed by their happiness. This was because every time the wind passed , the Geese covered their faces. He was so tired of this, and so before leaving the park he blew so hard that their beautiful hats flew away.

The Geese ran breathlessly after their hats, laughing the whole time. They viewed the Wind’s actions as a game. As if this was not enough, that afternoon a Rain called “Timidella” also arrived. Do you know what it did? It started to rain so hard that not even the big beautiful hats , could save the Geese from getting wet . Rain was shy and the only way that it could bring attention to itself was by making it rain, so much so that anyone would have rolled their eyes to the heavens.

Even Rain wanted friends with whom to laugh with. That day the Geese’s afternoon tea had to be suspended. Ugh … how boring ! But the three friends had a plan. The next day at 2 p.m. in the big park in London, the three Geese decided to organize a Tea Party. And they even gave this party a name. They called it ‘The friendship festival’. But clever as they were, and anticipating the arrival of the ‘Impertenant Wind’ and ‘Timidella’ the rain, they came prepared.

They tied their large hats with laces to make sure that the wind couldn’t blow them away and they wore beautiful red and yellow rain boots and each Goose had an umbrella to protect them from getting wet.Needless to say Okalinda was really beautiful, her white feathers were so beautiful that anything she wore looked perfect on her. So this is how the three ‘tea time’ friends began their party. – Quack, Quack, Quack, they said enjoying themselves gaily. Wind and Rain having learned of the party from a squirrel called ‘Chatterbox’ , decided to go together to the party too.

Why were they hated so much? Why were Wind and Rain always discriminated against? Just because they were atmospheric phenomena and not animals? Upon their arrival at “ the friendship festival” , they were pleasantly surprised. The three Geese greeted them – Quack, Quack, Quack – welcome to our tea party, they said.

The first to speak with a big smile on her face was Squazzy:-“ This friendship festival is for you , it’s our way of apologizing!” – Mrs. Okalinda spoke to the ‘impertinent Wind’ :-“ Wind, if we cover our faces and run away when you arrive , it’s because sometimes your wind is too strong, but now we are prepared. Look at the beautiful laces we added to our big hats! And then overjoyed added : Don’t you think that they add more color to my face? ”Mrs. Oket instead turned to the rain ‘Timidella’: “We like you a lot, you shouldn’t be shy. You are always welcome and thanks to you we’ve decided to protect ourselves so that we can stay together. You mustn’t feel different. Even we three friends of the afternoon tea are different from each other, each of us has our own personality!” Okalinda added ..

” yes, Rain it’s thanks to you that I can now wear these beautiful rain boots.” At this point everybody smiled and even Wind and Rain apologized.

“It’s because we felt different that we became so timid and impertinent. We felt lonely and excluded from your joy. Sorry, we’ve been so silly. We just wanted to be happy. But today you have given us a great lesson in life. Even we exist, we are all part of this world and we love you too!”

And so between one tea and another, a quack and a few fashion tips from Okalinda, they continued to live happily ever after together.
